**The short version:** Hiveway for Destinations is $999 a month, flat, month to month. (the big tourism platforms bill support, every import and every article separately, every year) [About Hiveway for Destinations](https://hiveway.org/destinations)

A small tourism office usually meets Tempest through an RFP: it builds destination websites, sells the iDSS CRM, and runs digital marketing, all for DMOs and nothing else. Its own line is "Destination Marketing Is All We Do," and 260+ destination clients say it's not just a slogan.

The difference with Hiveway is the shape of the deal. Tempest is quote only, and its websites are built project by project. Hiveway is one flat monthly price that includes building, hosting and supporting your visitor site.

## Nine things, checked.

| --- | --- | --- |
| Pricing model | Quote only; no prices published | $999 a month, flat, everything included |
| Website | Custom destination websites with a modular CMS, built per project (Discover Lehigh Valley, Aug 2025; Charlottesville Albemarle, after an RFP, 2021) | Included: your visitor website, rebuilt by us in the first months, hosted and kept up |
| Listings and partner updates | iDSS includes an extranet for partners (used, for example, to share Cvent meeting leads); listing workflows aren't detailed publicly | Every place worth visiting has a page; partners update their own listings |
| Events | Not detailed on its public pages; ask in your RFP | A visitor events calendar with public submissions you approve |
| AI-readable pages | Not described on its public pages | Every page has a markdown twin and structured data, so AI trip planners can read and recommend you |
| Convention and meetings sales CRM | Yes: iDSS Cyclone, a CRM "built by a DMO for DMOs," used by 170+ destinations, with Cvent RFP integration | Not offered. If you sell meetings and conventions, Tempest wins this row |
| Digital marketing services | Yes, as an agency: growth marketing and campaigns | Not an agency. Add one of us ($599 a month) is one of us writing your pages, events and newsletter |
| Support | Account support from Tempest and iDSS; terms by contract | Email, answered by Jeff or Amara, who built it |
| Company | Tempest, Philadelphia, 260+ destination marketing clients | Independent, no investors, the builders answer your email |

## The honest math.

Tempest doesn't publish prices, and we found no public contract that lists one, so we won't guess. Ask for the build fee, the yearly hosting and support, the CRM license and the contract term separately in your RFP, so you can compare them line by line.

Hiveway for Destinations is $999 a month, about $12,000 a year, everything included: the site and its rebuild in the first months, hosting, support, event and listing submissions and email sending.

## We rebuild it for you.

No build fee, and no charge per import.

**One honest note** Hiveway is in its founding season. We're building it now with our first chamber, so it isn't something you can sign up for off the shelf today.

## Questions, answered plainly.

### How much does Tempest cost?

Tempest doesn't publish prices and we haven't found a public contract with its figures. Ask for build, hosting, support and CRM costs as separate lines.

### What is iDSS?

iDSS Cyclone is Tempest's cloud CRM for travel and tourism. It says 170+ destinations use it, and it integrates with the Cvent Supplier Network for meeting RFPs.

### Does Hiveway do convention sales?

No. Hiveway has no meetings sales CRM. If that's central to your bureau, Tempest or Simpleview fits better.

### Does Hiveway design a custom site?

We build your visitor site on WordPress from our own themes and patterns, in your colors, with your places, events and partners. It's not an agency's from-scratch design project, which is part of why there's no build fee.
