Built by Two People Who Answer Their Own Email
Hiveway is made by Jeff Sarris and Amara Andrew. The two of us run MXVEN, LLC, an independent company with no investors, and we build and support everything ourselves.
Why We Built It
We've built websites for local businesses since 2009. We also run our own hometown media platforms, where we spend our weeks covering local businesses, events and the people behind them.
That work keeps putting us in front of the same problems. Business directories nobody can find. Events that never make it online, or make it online as a PDF. Members who can't say what their dues bought them. And more and more, people asking AI where to go and what to do, and AI only recommending what it can read.
Chambers and tourism offices are the organizations best placed to fix that for a whole town at once. Hiveway is the system we'd want if we ran one: simple for the office, useful for every member or partner, and readable by people and AI alike.
How We Work
- Email, always. We don't take or make phone calls; write to us through a form and one of us writes back. When it's worth talking face to face, we set up a video chat by email.
- One flat price, published. No annual contracts, no setup fees, no cut of your payments.
- We'd rather tell you what Hiveway doesn't do than oversell it.
- No guarantees we can't keep. We show you what's happening, and you decide if it's worth it.
Where Things Stand
We're building Hiveway with our first chamber, and we're choosing a small group of founding chambers and destinations to build it with. Founding organizations get the two of us closely involved in their setup, and a real say in what comes next.
