Hiveway for Destinations: for tourism offices, visitor bureaus and CVBs
Put Your Town in Front of Visitors and the AI They Plan With
A visitor website, places and itineraries, an events calendar the public can submit to, partner listings and reports your council can read. One DMO website platform, built and kept up by the two of us.
How visitors plan now
Visitors Plan With AI Now
A family deciding where to spend a weekend asks an AI: what is there to do, where should we stay, what's on in June? The AI answers with the places it can read.
If your town's restaurants, trails, festivals and hotels live inside a search widget or a PDF guide, they don't make the list, and the weekend goes to the next town over.
Hiveway gives every place, event and itinerary its own page on your domain, with structured data underneath and a markdown twin beside it. Your town becomes the easy one to recommend.
What’s included
A Visitor Site, and Everything Behind It
The tourism website platform and the work around it, for one flat monthly price.
Your Visitor Website
Rebuilt by us in the first months, then hosted and kept up. Things to do, places to eat and stay, itineraries and the events calendar, on your own domain.
Places and Itineraries
Every place worth visiting gets a page, paying partner or not, with partners marked. Put them together into itineraries: a rainy Saturday, a weekend with kids, a night out downtown.
Events With Public Submissions
Anyone can send in an event through a form, and nothing goes live until your staff approve it. Every event becomes its own page that visitors and AI can find.
Partners Update Their Own Listings
Hotels, restaurants and shops keep their own hours, photos and offers current, so your staff stop chasing updates by email.
A Visitor Newsletter
Drafted for you from your events and new listings, and sent from your own domain.
Reports a Council Can Read
Plain numbers on one page: visits to your site, and clicks through to local businesses and hotels. Enough to answer the question every budget hearing asks: what did we get for it?
Accessible by Design
Built to WCAG 2.1 AA, the standard the ADA Title II rule sets for state and local government websites.
Paperwork Your City Needs
An insurance certificate, a W-9, your city's contract terms, and one annual invoice if that's how your city prefers to pay.
Accessibility
Built for the ADA Title II Rule
The Department of Justice's ADA Title II rule makes WCAG 2.1 AA the standard for state and local government websites, and that includes a tourism site a city runs.
Every page we build for a destination is designed to that standard: real headings, text alternatives for images, readable contrast, and forms that work with a keyboard and a screen reader. This site is held to the same standard, because we'd be in no position to sell it otherwise.
Partners
Partners Who Keep Their Own Pages Current
Outdated hours and closed restaurants are what visitors remember. In Hiveway, each partner can sign in and update their own listing, and your staff decide whether changes go live right away or wait for a look.
- Hours, photos, descriptions and offers, kept by the business itself
- Every place worth visiting listed, with paying partners marked
- Clicks to each partner counted, for your reports and theirs
Said plainly
Why It Costs What It Does
Hiveway for Destinations runs on the same software as our chamber offer. It costs more because there's more work around it, every month:
- A bigger public website that we build in the first months and keep up: places, itineraries, lodging and the events calendar.
- Event submissions open to the public, which means a moderation queue and spam control.
- Government paperwork and accessibility: insurance, a W-9, city contract terms, and WCAG 2.1 AA on every page.
- Reports made for a council, so you can show what the money did.

Questions, Answered Plainly
Is Hiveway a full DMO CRM?
It's the visitor website, the listings, the events calendar, partner updates, the newsletter and the reports. It doesn't do convention sales or meeting leads for hotels. If that's the heart of your office's work, Hiveway isn't the right fit yet, and we'd rather tell you now.
Is there a fee to build the website?
No. We rebuild your visitor website in the first months as part of the monthly price. There's no build fee and no separate charge for moving your listings and events.
Can our city pay once a year?
Yes. Month to month is the default, and we'll send one annual invoice if your city prefers it. We'll also provide an insurance certificate and a W-9, and work within your city's contract terms.
Do businesses have to pay to be listed?
No. Every place worth visiting can have a page. If your office sells partnerships, partners are marked, and you can switch on billing for them.
How do you keep spam out of public event submissions?
Every submission waits for your approval before it appears, and the form has spam protection built in. Your staff see a short queue, not a flood.
We're a chamber and a visitors bureau in one. Which offer fits?
Hiveway for Destinations, with dues switched on. If you market your town to visitors, it's Destinations.
Who writes the content?
Your staff, with the newsletter and event pages drafted for you. If you'd rather one of us write trip ideas, stories and event roundups every month, you can add one of us on top.
Can we start today?
Not off the shelf yet. We're building Hiveway now and taking applications from founding destinations. Apply, and we'll write back about timing and what your site would look like.
