Everything the Price Includes
Why It Costs What It Does
Hiveway for Destinations runs on the same software as our chamber offer. It costs more because there's more work around it, every month:
- A bigger public website that we build in the first months and keep up: places, itineraries, lodging and the events calendar.
- Event submissions open to the public, which means a moderation queue and spam control.
- Government paperwork and accessibility: insurance, a W-9, city contract terms, and WCAG 2.1 AA on every page.
- Reports made for a council, so you can show what the money did.
What It Doesn't Include
Add one of us, $599/month. One of the two of us doing the work with you every month: your newsletter, your pages, your events. The software price covers the platform, the website and our help by email; a person doing the work each month is a separate, optional line, month to month like everything else.
And to be clear about what Hiveway doesn't do today:
- Convention sales and meeting-lead software for hotels.
- A booking engine. Visitors book directly with your hotels and businesses.
- A printed visitor guide.
Month to Month
There's no annual contract and no setup fee. You pay monthly, and you can stop at the end of any month. Your records are your organization's, never ours, and if you leave, we help you take them with you.
Questions, Answered Plainly
Is there a build fee for the new visitor website?
No. We rebuild your site in the first months as part of the monthly price.
Do you charge for support, imports or event submissions?
No. Support by email, moving your listings and events, the public event form and the reports are all in the one price.
Can our city pay with one annual invoice?
Yes. Month to month is the default, and we'll invoice once a year if that suits your city's budget better.
What paperwork can you provide?
An insurance certificate and a W-9, and we'll work within your city's contract terms. Send them with your application and we'll read them before we talk.
Is content writing included?
Drafts of the newsletter and event pages are. If you want one of us writing trip ideas and stories for you every month, that's the add-on above.
