GuidesFor chambers
How much does chamber software cost? Real ranges and the hidden costs.
Real published prices for chamber management software, the costs that don't show up on the price page, and the questions to ask before you sign.
In plain English
Chamber software runs from free (for a tiny list) to about $10,000 a year, and the biggest names don't publish a price at all. The sticker price is rarely the whole bill. Setup fees, a separate website, an email tool, payment fees and annual contracts can double it. Before you compare, count everything you pay for today, then ask every vendor the same questions. The list is at the end of this guide.
What chamber software costs, in real numbers
These are prices vendors publish on their own pages, checked in October 2026. They fall into four groups:
- General membership tools: free up to 50 members, then $35 a month up to 300. Another popular one is $66 a month for 100 contacts, billed monthly. They're cheap, but they aren't built for chambers, so tiers, the directory and ribbon cuttings take more work by hand.
- Chamber platforms priced by member count: one publishes $135 a month for up to 100 members, $420 a month at 400 members and $650 a month at 1,000.
- Platforms priced by your budget: one charges $829 a month, billed once a year, for organizations with revenue up to $400,000. That's about $9,950 a year.
- The category leaders: quote only. Software review sites list a starting price of $2,600 to $3,900 a year for the best-known chamber platform, before setup or a website.
The hidden costs
The price page is the start of the bill. Look for these:
- Setup or onboarding fees. One chamber platform publishes setup from $1,250 for 100 members up to $6,250 for 1,000. Another lists $3,600 for onboarding.
- The website. Many plans don't include one. One vendor charges $20 a page, with a 10-page minimum, plus $25 a month for hosting.
- The email tool. If newsletters go through a separate service, that's another monthly bill that grows with your list.
- Accounting sync. One vendor charges $500 up front plus $25 a month to connect QuickBooks.
- Payment markups. Card processing costs money everywhere. The question is whether your vendor adds to it, makes you use its own processor, or charges extra if you use someone else's.
- Annual contracts. Billed yearly means you pay up front and wait a year to leave.
How to check payment fees
Use a standard processor's public rate as your yardstick. Stripe's U.S. rate is 2.9% plus 30 cents for a card, and 0.8% for a bank (ACH) payment, capped at $5.
- A $500 dues payment by card costs $14.80 in processing.
- The same $500 paid by bank transfer costs $4.
- If your vendor's rate is higher than that, the difference is what they keep.
Ask for the rate in writing. Some vendors only share it with a quote.
Count what you pay today
Before you compare anything, add up your real yearly cost. Pull the last 12 months of bills for:
- Your membership software, plus any add-ons.
- Your website: hosting, the theme or builder, and whoever updates it.
- Your email or newsletter tool.
- Your event ticketing tool, if it's separate.
- Payment processing fees on dues and tickets.
- Anything you pay a person to do because the software can't.
That total is the number a new system has to beat. A cheaper sticker price that needs three other tools isn't cheaper.
Questions to ask every vendor
- What's the full price for a chamber our size, per year, in writing?
- Is there a setup or onboarding fee? How much?
- Is a website included? Who builds it, and who hosts it?
- Is email sending included? Is there a limit?
- What do you charge per card payment and per bank payment? Do you add anything to the processor's rate?
- Can we use our own payment account? Is there a fee if we do?
- Is this month to month or an annual contract? What does leaving cost?
- Does the price go up as we add members? By how much?
- Can we export all our data, any time, in plain files?
- What does a price increase at renewal usually look like?

Questions, answered plainly.
How much does chamber of commerce software cost?
From free for a very small list to about $10,000 a year. General membership tools start under $70 a month. Chamber platforms priced by member count publish about $135 to $650 a month. The best-known platforms are quote only, with review sites listing $2,600 to $3,900 a year as a starting price, before setup or a website.
Why don't the big chamber platforms publish their prices?
They sell by quote, so the price depends on your size, your add-ons and your contract. That makes it hard to compare. Ask each vendor for a full yearly price in writing before a demo goes any further.
What hidden costs should a chamber watch for?
Setup fees, a website that isn't included, a separate email tool, accounting add-ons, payment markups and annual contracts. Any one can add hundreds or thousands of dollars a year.
What's a fair card processing fee for dues?
Stripe's standard U.S. rate is 2.9% plus 30 cents per card payment and 0.8% (capped at $5) per bank payment. A vendor charging more is keeping the difference.
Is cheaper membership software good enough for a chamber?
Sometimes. General tools handle members and payments well. What they usually lack is chamber work: tiers, a public business directory, ribbon cuttings, member and non-member ticket prices. Count the hours you'd spend making up for that.
