The other choiceChoose GrowthZone if

You run a large chamber or association that uses its sales funnel, automation and learning tools, and you have the budget for quoted add-ons.

  • You need automation, a sales funnel, learning management (GZ Learn) or an online community (GZ Community).
  • You run a large organization with several staff and complex membership rules.
  • You want phone support and a long-established vendor.

Our choiceChoose Hiveway if

You want the essentials a chamber uses every week, a built-and-hosted website, and one published monthly price with no contract and no cut of payments.

  • Your staff use a handful of things every week and pay for many more.
  • You want the website included rather than quoted as an add-on.
  • You want dues and tickets in your own Stripe account, with no platform fee on top.
  • You want a monthly price you can read and a contract you can leave.

The short version: Hiveway for Chambers is $299 a month, flat, month to month. (ChamberMaster starts at $3,900 a year, before a website) About Hiveway for Chambers

If your chamber is on GrowthZone, you're on one of two products from the same company: ChamberMaster, its chamber edition, or GrowthZone AMS, its newer platform with marketing automation and a sales funnel built in. GrowthZone also bought MemberSuite in 2023 and sells it to larger associations. The chamber director's problem is the same on either one: the bill arrives in pieces, and members can't see what their dues bought.

GrowthZone is a capable, full-featured system, and some chambers use every part of it. This page compares what it publicly charges and includes with what Hiveway includes, line by line.

What you'd actually pay

The honest math.

GrowthZone's pricing page shows products and add-ons but no prices; each needs a quote. The one number GrowthZone states itself is on its blog: "Subscriptions start at $3,900 annually." Listing sites show similar figures.

The add-ons are where the real bill grows: GZ Pay for payments, GZ CMS for the website, GZ Community, GZ Learn, and AI Newsletters, each with a feature page and no published price. Rival vendors claim onboarding of $1,000 or more and a $3,500 website design fee; those are a rival's claims, so get GrowthZone's own written proposal.

Hiveway for Chambers is $299 a month ($3,588 a year), the same for a chamber of 80 members or 800, with the website, setup and the move off your old system included. If you want one of us doing the work with you every month (your newsletter, your pages, your events), that's $599 a month on top, and never required.

Moving off GrowthZone?

We move you ourselves.

At no charge, from an export of GrowthZone.

One honest note Hiveway is in its founding season. We're building it now with our first chamber, so it isn't something you can sign up for off the shelf today.

  1. Your members and their contacts
  2. Payment history and renewal dates
  3. Every old directory link, redirected to the member's new page so their rankings come with them
  4. Your website, rebuilt and hosted as part of the price

Questions, answered plainly.

How much does GrowthZone cost?

GrowthZone says subscriptions start at $3,900 a year. Onboarding, the website (GZ CMS), payments (GZ Pay) and other add-ons are quoted separately.

What's the difference between GrowthZone and ChamberMaster?

They're two products from one company. ChamberMaster is built for chambers of commerce; GrowthZone AMS is aimed at membership organizations generally and adds marketing automation and a sales funnel.

Does Hiveway take a cut of dues or tickets?

No. Dues and tickets are paid into your chamber's own Stripe account. Stripe charges its normal processing fee; we add nothing on top, ever.

Does Hiveway have a sales funnel or learning tools like GrowthZone?

No. Our first version is members, dues, the directory, events, the newsletter, a one-screen report and the website. If you depend on GrowthZone's automation or learning tools, it's the better fit today.

Will we lose our directory's search rankings if we switch?

Not if the old links are redirected. We move your members ourselves and redirect every old directory URL to the member's new page on your own domain, so links people and search engines already have keep working.
