Hiveway vs ChamberMaster
ChamberMaster is GrowthZone's chamber of commerce software, a Minnesota product that GrowthZone says more than 3,000 chambers use.
The other choiceChoose ChamberMaster if
You want the long-established chamber default, need features Hiveway's first version doesn't have yet, and your board is comfortable with quote-only pricing and an annual commitment.
- You need what Hiveway's first version doesn't do yet: committees, QuickBooks sync, members-only groups, or a sales pipeline for prospects.
- Your staff want phone support and scheduled trainings.
- You value a long-established vendor over a new one.
- Your board is fine with an annual contract and a quote-based price.
Our choiceChoose Hiveway if
You want one published monthly price with the website and the move included, no contract, no cut of your dues, and a directory where every member is a real page AI can read.
- You want the whole bill on one line you can read before you talk to anyone.
- You want your website built and hosted as part of the price, not quoted separately.
- You want members, dues and tickets paid into your own Stripe account with nothing taken on top.
- You want every member's listing to be a real page on your own domain that search engines and AI can read.
- You want to be able to leave any month.
The short version: Hiveway for Chambers is $299 a month, flat, month to month. (ChamberMaster starts at $3,900 a year, before a website) About Hiveway for Chambers
Most chamber directors we talk to don't hate ChamberMaster. It does the work: members, dues invoices, events, a directory. The trouble shows up at renewal time, when a member asks what their dues actually bought them, and on the invoice, where the software, the onboarding, the website and the payment add-on are separate lines that each needed a quote.
ChamberMaster is the category default for good reasons, and it's a mature product with years of chambers behind it. This page puts what it publicly costs and includes next to what Hiveway includes, so you can see where the two really differ: price you can read, a contract you can leave, a website in the box, and a directory built for the way people search now.

What you'd actually pay
The first-year bill.
GrowthZone doesn't publish ChamberMaster's price. Its pricing page lists products and asks you to request a demo or a custom quote. The most common public figure is the starting price on software listing sites: Capterra lists ChamberMaster from $3,900 a year, and GrowthZone's own blog says its subscriptions "start at $3,900 annually."

Two rival vendors claim onboarding runs about $1,000 to $1,500 and a new website design about $3,500. Those are a rival's estimates, so we don't add them up for you. GrowthZone's own buyer's workbook tells chambers to ask about setup cost, per-user charges, per-member surcharges and per-transaction charges, which is good advice for any vendor, us included. One of us doing the work with you is $599 a month on top, and never required.
Moving off ChamberMaster?
We move you ourselves.
At no charge, from an export of ChamberMaster.
One honest note Hiveway is in its founding season. We're building it now with our first chamber, so it isn't something you can sign up for off the shelf today.
- Your members and their contacts
- Payment history and renewal dates
- Every old directory link, redirected to the member's new page so their rankings come with them
- Your website, rebuilt and hosted as part of the price
Questions, answered plainly.
How much does ChamberMaster cost?
GrowthZone doesn't publish it. Software listings show a starting price of $3,900 a year for the software alone; onboarding, a website and payment processing are quoted separately.
Is ChamberMaster the same as GrowthZone?
Same company, different products. GrowthZone makes ChamberMaster, built for chambers of commerce, and GrowthZone AMS, built for associations, and since 2023 also MemberSuite.
Does Hiveway take a cut of dues or tickets?
No. Dues and tickets are paid into your chamber's own Stripe account. Stripe charges its normal processing fee; we add nothing on top, ever.
Will we lose our directory's search rankings if we switch?
Not if the old links are redirected. We move your members ourselves and redirect every old directory URL to the member's new page on your own domain, so links people and search engines already have keep working.
What does Hiveway not do that ChamberMaster does?
Our first version leaves out committees, QuickBooks sync, a prospect pipeline and phone support. We build what our founding chambers use every week first, and add the rest when chambers ask for it.
