ComparePricing, explained

ChamberMaster pricing, explained.

ChamberMaster has no price on its website. GrowthZone, the company that makes it, lists its products and asks you to request a demo or a custom quote. So the honest way to answer "what does ChamberMaster cost?" is to put the public evidence in one place, say where each number comes from, and show what your chamber should ask for in writing.

Pricing, explainedChecked October 20269 sources

The short version: the software is listed from $3,900 a year, and the onboarding, a new website and payments are separate lines.

What each line costs.

  1. ChamberMaster subscription

Quote only; listed from $3,900 a year

Membership management, the member directory, dues invoicing and reminders, events with mobile check-in, and email marketing. The $3,900 starting price is from software listings (Capterra); GrowthZone's blog gives the same figure for its subscriptions.

  2. Onboarding

Quote only; rivals estimate $1,000 to $1,500

Setup and training. GrowthZone publishes no figure; WildApricot and MembershipWorks, two rival vendors, put it at about $1,000 to $1,500.

  3. Website

Quote only; a rival claims $3,500 for a new design

ChamberMaster can connect to your existing site or use its built-in website solution. MembershipWorks, a rival, claims a $3,500 design fee for a new site.

  4. GZ Pay (payments)

    Rates not published

GrowthZone's payment add-on for dues, tickets and sponsors. Its help center describes an optional platform service fee that can be passed to the payer.

  5. AI Newsletters and other add-ons

    Quote only

AI Newsletters (powered by rasa.io), GZ Community and GZ Learn are listed as add-ons without prices.

What it comes to.

A 150-member chamber, year one

Roughly $4,900 to $8,900

Subscription from $3,900 (listed starting price) + onboarding about $1,000 to $1,500 (rival vendors' estimate) + a new website about $3,500 if built with them (a rival's claim) = roughly $4,900 to $8,900, before payment processing. Keep your current site and skip the new one, and it's roughly $4,900 to $5,400.

An estimate built partly on a rival's numbers.

A 450-member chamber, year one

No public figure

No public figure exists for a chamber this size. GrowthZone's own buyer's workbook tells you to ask about per-user charges and per-member surcharges, so expect a quote at or above the 150-member estimate: at least $4,900 to $8,900 with onboarding and a new site, and possibly more.

Hiveway, either size

$3,588 a year

Hiveway for Chambers, for comparison: $299 a month, $3,588 a year, at any size. The website, setup and the move off your old system are included; there's no setup fee and no contract. One of us doing the work with you is $599 a month on top, if you want it.

What to watch for.

ChamberMaster is a mature, capable system, and many chambers are well served by it. Its price isn't unreasonable for what it does. The problem is that you can't see it: the software, the onboarding, the website and the payment add-on each need a quote, so the number your board approves is rarely the number you end up paying.

If you want one line instead, Hiveway for Chambers is $299 a month, website included, month to month.

  • The website is not in the subscription. Ask whether you're keeping your own site, using the built-in one, or paying for a new design.
  • Onboarding is a separate quote. Get it in writing before you sign.
  • GZ Pay rates aren't published, and its help center describes a platform fee that can be passed to payers. Ask what members will see at checkout.
  • GrowthZone's own buyer's workbook lists the questions to ask any vendor: setup cost, per-user charges, per-member surcharges, per-transaction charges, per-registration charges, per-email charges and the contract terms. Use it.
  • Add-ons (AI Newsletters, GZ Community, GZ Learn) are quoted one by one.

The short version: Hiveway for Chambers is $299 a month, flat, month to month. (ChamberMaster starts at $3,900 a year, before a website) It's in its founding season: we're building it now with our first chamber.

Questions, answered plainly.

How much does ChamberMaster cost per year?

GrowthZone doesn't publish it. Listings show the software from $3,900 a year; onboarding, a website and payment processing are extra.

Does ChamberMaster charge a setup fee?

Onboarding is quoted separately. Rival vendors estimate $1,000 to $1,500; ask GrowthZone for its written figure.

Does ChamberMaster include a website?

It can connect to your existing site or provide a built-in website solution, priced by quote.

Why is ChamberMaster's pricing hard to find?

GrowthZone sells by quote, so its pricing page lists products, not prices. That's common in this market; Hiveway publishes one price instead.

One line, not five.

Hiveway for Chambers is one published price with the website and the move included. One of us reads every application and writes back by email.
